EvenStart relies on its volunteers in many areas. We welcome students, corporate employees, parents, seniors...all who can contribute valued perspectives to our organization. The needs for voluntary effort minimally include the following activities:

PARENTS
EvenStart encourages parents of children enrolled in its programs, to become involved in class level activities, volunteer as 'riders' on its transportation vehicles, or assistants to its camp counsellors in its weekly summer programs.

ON-GOING OPPORTUNITIES
Clothing:
The EvenStart children come to us often with limited or inappropriate clothing for the season or for activities in which they will be involved during their program attendance. Basic clothing articles, for ages 2.5 to 5 years of age, are a daily need. The pick-up, sorting, and monitoring of clothing supplies is a vital aspect of EvenStart's administration. Food:
During every session, children are fed at least two nutritious meals (either breakfast or lunch, and a healthy snack). The pick-up of food supplies from surrounding community businesses or organizations requires the dedication of volunteers on a daily basis. The use of EvenStart's transportation vehicles can be utilized to do these early morning pick-up runs. If you are interested in helping with this effort please click here.

EvenStart's casino will run again in summer 2007. There are numerous volunteer positions that need to be filled. Please contact the Fund Development Representative directly.

EvenStart's welcomes Seniors within the EvenStart program. Many of these children do not have the advantages of an immediate two-parent/ extended family environment. Please contact the Fund Development Representative to find out how your experience and valued perspectives can help us in the delivery of our programs, services, and moral support of these children and their families.
